1.Which case were you working on, and what was your role?
My case is to make Nicolas Copernicus say that he I guilty for what he did and my role is the advisor of Shivesh (Inquisition Person). I helped Shivesh make the decision what to do with Kavin (Nicolas Copernicus) He had to get burned alive.

    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc.
My Character Nicolas Copernicus died peacefully looking at his book that he wrote. Copernicus was reportedly buried in Frombork Cathedral. The expert also determined that the skull belonged to a man who had died around age 70 — Copernicus' age at the time of his death. The grave was in poor condition, and not all the remains of the skeleton were found; missing, among other things, was the lower jaw. DNA from the bones found in the grave matched hair samples taken from a book owned by Copernicus which was kept in the library of the University of Uppsala Sweden.

    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?
Character Nicolas made a impact on our world today by telling us that the sun is the middle of the Universe and all the other planets are around the sun and if we did not know that than it would be another long time that we know that the sun is in the middle of the universe.

1.My name is Frère Jacque LeTraitre and I was the Inquisitor for the case of Joan Of Arc who was rumored to be a witch (You know, the English pay well). My sentence was that her Traitorness to the Lord was to be imprisoned till the Pope came in France to give the final verdict (but I don't think the English will be that patient).

2.Joan of Arc was burned at stake in 1431. The trial was revised by the Pope and she was declared a Martyr (somebody who suffers for nothing). She is now a saint and one of the three major saints of France.

3.In the world, Joan is seen as a symbol of hope. She liberated France which would may be tottaly owned by England now if she hadn't lived.

  3. Shannon as Thomas More

Which case were you working on, and what was your role?
My role was being the suspect Thomas More who was on trial.

    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc.

“Thomas More was a respected member of King Henry the VIII of England. He was also the Chancellor in his court, however he couldn’t get along with the king on the issue of the King divorcing his wife and marrying another woman. King Henry also wanted to be the head of the Church to change the law on divorce, but Thomas More wouldn’t support him. So he had him imprisoned and chopped of his head later on. I think that it was a sad way to die.

    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?

Thomas More believed in God and was against people who were Heresy. People who believe in God usually know right from wrong. Thomas More believed that this belief would make a better society.

That is why, in the year 1980 the Church made him Saint Thomas More because they valued his teachings.

1: Which case were you working on, and what was your role?
My group’s case was to have Martin Luther tell the truth and the reality. Martin Luther was asked several different questions for the inquisitor to decide whether Martin Luther was a heretic.
I was the actor of Martin Luther and it was fun to improvise my answers. Martin Luther must have improvised his answers too as he was asked dozens of questions. I imagined him in front of the inquisitor so I felt like Martin.
    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc?
Yes, He was convinced of being a heretic. He died because he was shot in the chest when he was standing in the balcony. People also say that he died of heart failure or he already had a sickness.
    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?
Martin Luther has had a lasting impact on the world till today because he started the reformation in Europe. First there was Catholicism but then people like Martin Luther disagreed with some things in Catholicism. These people then set out to believe in something different.
Like if you were a Catholic priest you would not be able to marry. If you did you would be called a heretic. You will be punished. But if you were a protestant priest you would be allowed to marry and have family.
Now there are many religions in our world. Some people agree with the others beliefs and some don’t. Many beliefs are similar. Many are not. There are fights between religions and there are friendships between religions. Like in the time of Martin Luther there were fights between the Catholic and Protestants.
All people are same but different, all religions and same but different and all beliefs are same but different. Even though there are different beliefs and religions everyone prays to the same person with different names.
    Examples are:
    Christianity- Jesus
    Muslim- Allah
Hinduism- There is many Gods but there are three important ones- Vishnu, Shankar and Brahma
    Sikhism- Guru Nanak

    1. Which case were you working on, and what was your role?

I was looking at Nicolas Copernicus (Kavin) with Lexi and then the inquisition person (Shivesh) with Armaan. I was to report and observe the case for Nicolas Copernicus being accused for going against a theory and writing a book on how all planets revolved around the sun. Since I was only the reporter I did not have a huge role.

    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc.

Nicolas Copernicus never got sent to prison or was accused for being a heretic but he then died later on because of a stroke at the age of 70. He was born the 19 of February 1473 at Torun, Poland and died the 24 of May 1543 in Frauenburg, East Prussia.

    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?

He has made a lasting impact on our world because if we did not get to know that then we all would have a different thought of the universe. If Nicolas Copernicus had not published the book and brought a lot of attention to the subject then maybe we would not have been so interested in it. I think since he studied astronomy and published his book, we have come much further in our understanding for the universe.

    1. The case that I am working on is the case of Thomas More and I was the inquisitor, who was the one who decided id he is guilty or innocent. If he was then I had to decide what punishment he should get.

    2. At the end Thomas More's head got chopped off. This was because King Henry VIII wanted to get divorce but he wouldn't help King Henry VIII fight the case because it was against the law to get divorce. To do that King Henry had to become the pope and he chose Thomas More to help him, but Thomas More didn't help and so the King got angry. Thomas was afraid to be sent to the inquisition but at the end he got sent there for writing Utopia.

    4. Thomas More believed in god. He wasn't a heretic. Thomas More just interpret the bible in a different way and it made the church think that he had tried to change the bible therefore he got sent to inquisition.

If Thomas More didn't write Utopia, people wouldn't know that there are different ways that people can believe in things and that people should respect other people for who they are. That was what Thomas More did. More Human rights were accepted into society, e.g. Woman and men were allowed to have the same rights or communal ownership of land.

Those are the reasons why we have new ideas and new beliefs are accepted.

1.Which case were you working on, and what was your role?
My case was to convince Galileo that he was wrong, that the sun revolves around the earth and not the other way round. He was going against the church by saying the opposite. My role was one of the inquisitors. We asked him different questions about his life, such as if he married the lady Marina Gamba before he had children or not. We came to a conclusion that Galileo-(Chawan) would go to prison and only eat dry bread and water.

    2. What actually happened to Galileo Galilei, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc.
Galileo Galilei was condemned to indefinite imprisonment, and, after some negotiation, was confined to his villa until his death in 1642.

    3. What has Galileo Galilei done to make a lasting impact on our world today?
Galileo's greatest impact was his telescope and the laws of motion. It changed the way people viewed the universe.

1: Which case were you working on, and what was your role? I am the person who helps Martin Luther, prove his opinion and also helping him to persuade and tell the inquisitor to set Martin free and he shall not be burnt at the stea or go to prison. I am also trying to tell the inquisitor to try and think about the people who believe in what Martin has written and are you going kill them all like what you are going to do to martin, just because we have different beliefs.
    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc? Martin was accused of being a heretic. The inquisitors was strongly opposed and accused Luther of heresy, threatening to burn him at the stake. Martin Luther had suffering from different problems like digestive upset, heart problems for years and it were continuing to weaken him but still he continued to teach at the University of Wittenberg and kept on fighting for the reform. After suffering chest pains, he did not have the strength to return home to Wittenberg and Martin Luther died on 18 February 1546 in Eisleben.
    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today? The lasting impact Martin has created was that he started the reformation in Europe; one of the parts which help him change the world was the way he showed what he was thinking by writing the 95tesis and showing his bravery of not being scared of the consequences. That made people started to follow what martin did and believe in what they think is real. This made people be able to believe in new religion and being able to have more freedom; the priest can now have wife and kids, not a lot of people have to pay the church to be forgive anymore.

    1. I am the person that helped Galileo Galilei to prove that he did nothing wrong to the pope and the inquisitor. I am also trying to tell the Catholic Church about Galileo's latest discoveries about the sun being in the center of our solar system and that he had proof and the Catholic Church could not deny the truth to the other people. He was also accused of having a baby without getting married and his daughters were never baptized so they could never get married so Galileo sent them to convents to live for the rest of their lives. But technically Galileo did still believe in the Catholic Church because if he didn't then he wouldn't send his daughters to the convents. Later on, his son was legitimized and married another woman and everyone remain on excellent terms.

    2. Galileo's theory about the universe was correct but the Catholic Church made him signed an paper that ordered him to not teach his theory because if he does, no one will believe in the Catholic Church anymore and Galileo did sign the papers. Galileo never went to the pope about the affair with Marina Gamba, I think that the Catholic Church didn't know because they lived in an small countryside town called Papua for ten years so that the inquisitors couldn't find out.

    3. Galileo brought us so many knowledge about astronomy with many theories regarding the Sun in the center of the solar system, two things dropping at the same time without depending on any weight. He also built the leaning tower of Pisa which is now a World Heritage Site.

    1. My case that I was working on was Thomas More. My case was to tell the audience and to the pope what me and the other reporter(Hikaru) spied on about Thomas More(Shannon). I also had to report what Thomas More and the pope said.

    2. The Catholic people didn't agree about his new ideas of his new bible. Thomas More let King VIII get very angry because Thomas More disagreed of the King's idea of getting divorced by one of his many wives. Later on King VIII became the pope and he got Thomas More's head chopped off because More wrote the Utopia which wasn't right for the catholic church.

    3. He had made a last impact on the world because his book was actually very successful. The book called Utopia showed that there are different people and they can all live in different ways. This is why many people think of their way only and this is why many people are free. If thomas More wasn't here, I would be so bored following to the church rules only!

1.I was working on the case of Galileo. As a reporter I only wrote down some things, but I didn´t say anything.
    2. As we all saw in the film, Galileo was found guilty, but the pope decided not to burn him. Instead, Galileo had to firstly say that what he had told other people about the universe wasn´t true, and then he wasn´t allowed to go out of his house, write any books (which he actually still did) or publish them.
    3. He found out (after Copernicus) that the earth is not the center of the universe and thanks to him more and more people started to think if that could be true. He explained a lot about how the universe really is.

    1. My case was Martin luther and my role was the advisor of the Inquisitor.

    2. Martin Luther's refusal to erase the 95 theses resulted in excommunication (he was banished and shamed. He had friends and he travelled to Germany where he translated it to german and then nailed the 95 theses on the a castle church in Wittenburg, Germany. People started to follow his writing and so began the reformation, the start of the Protestants. In the end Martin Luther died on the 18th of Febuary 1546 because of his health.

    3. Martin Luther made a lasting impact on our world today because there used to be only one religion, The Roman Catholic, or Catholicism and the church had a lot of power and everyone followed their rules. Martin Luther changed that, he wrote the 95 theses because he disagreed with some of the rules of the Roman Catholic church. After he nailed his theses to the castle church people started to follow his rules, there were people out there that disagreed and followed Martin Luther.
The changed of rules was a good change, he dared to challenge the church and he won. People were given more freedom, priet could marry and have childen, rules like if you weren't married then you aren't allowed to sleep with anyone, those were changed.

1.what were you working on and what was your roll in it?
I was an adviser to help defend the case against Joan of Arc. I helped make up what Joan of Arc (Arabella) would say to help defend her self.

2.What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc.
Joan of Arc was born on 1412 as a peasant girl in France. By 1424 she was said to have her first visions from Saint Micheal, Saint Catherine and Saint Margaret at the age of 12. She then lead the French army when she was only 16. She was captured by the Burgundians and sold to the English. Joan of Acr was burned at the stake at the age of only 19 for using gods name to kill even though she was doing it to help her country. 24 years later pope Callixtus lll found that she was not guilty and named her a martyr and she is now a patron Saint of France

    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?
Joan of Arc is very important because she helped defend England and without her France might be under England's rule. She is also a sign of hope because she never gave up and always had faith and other people believed in that faith to.

Galileo was sentenced to life imprisonment. He spent the the rest of his life under house arrest. Galileo became blind before he died at Arcetri, near Florence, on January 8, 1642.

3.What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?

Galileo made the first high-powered telescope. He discovered that two objects that are different weights will hit the ground at the same time. He discovered the truth about the solar system, that the earth revolves around the sun. And discovered many other things!

    3. Without Martin Luther, the world wouldn't be the same. Different people won't have their own religion (e.g. Hinduism, Muslim....), people cannot get divorced and catholic priest can't get married. Without him, our world would suck! Like all the other famous people who changed the world during the renaissance, without them, we would still be living IN the renaissance.

I was working on the Joan of Arc case. I was the reporter. Joan of Arc was accused for Heresy beacause she has been getting messages from god to kill people, But only the pope can get messages from god so in our case she got sent to jail.
    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped, etc.
First Joan of Arc was sent to prison then after 14 months the catholic church decided that she would be burned at the old market square. After 25 years of reaserching on this case they found out that she was innocent.

    3. What has your character done to make a lasting impact on our world today?
Joan of Arc has made an lasting impact because she belived that she could take action and that the maybe the catholic church is wrong maybe she can her god to. And also if Joan of Arc didnt do what she did France would have command over England.

    1. Which case were you working on? And what was your role?
I was working on the Nicolas Copernicus case with Emma, Kavin, Armaan and Shivesh. My role in this case was to help Nicolas Copernicus (Kavin) convince the Inquisitor (Shivesh), that he himself had the right to teach and share his thoughts about how the earth and other planets revolve around the sun. While Armaan helps Shivesh decide on the consequences Nicolas Copernicus has to take. As for Emma, she reports on the things that are going on in the room.

    2. What actually happened to your character, were they convicted of being a heretic, sent to prison, escaped etc.
Nicolas Copernicus has not been accused for heresy. So he didn’t get burned at stake but he was placed under house arrest for the rest of his life and all his books that he published were to be burned away. Nicolas Copernicus had the last copy of the book he published but he didn’t tell anyone other wise ill get burned with the rest of the other copies. When he got older he died because of a stroke-induced coma but before he died, he was holding the last copy of the book he wrote and then he died peacefully.
    1473-1543.

    3. What has your character done to make a last impact on the world today?
Nicolas Copernicus has made a huge impact on the world today because he was a brave man, not scared to stands up and fight for what he thinks is right and he tries to change people's understanding of how the planets and what they revolve around and he didn’t stop trying until he found proof (telescope) even though he knew what could happen to him if he couldn’t. That influences me and maybe others because now I’m not scared to tell my thoughts to anybody and it tells me not to give up no matter what. If he didn’t published his book "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" then the world right now wouldn’t know the truth about how the sun and other planets doesn’t revolve around earth and it gives everybody a much better understanding of the universe.

He was told to erase the 95 theses, but his refusal caused him to be to be excommunicated. He was shamefully banished from his country. Since he had friends in Germany, he shifted there and translated the 95 theses in German. He nailed this theses to castle church in Wittenberg, Germany. Now many people started following him. This was the establishment of Protestants. Martin Luther died on 18 February, 1546 due to health problems. This made a huge impact on our world because there was only one religion at that time and he was the one that dared to speak up against the most powerful thing during that time. Still now there are protestants, which were made by Martin Luther.

Galileo made a lasting impact by creating a proper telescope that is still used today and he also proved that the sun was in the center of our soler system and that two things with different mass drops at the same time. the future might be different if this never happened.
